Strawberry Mountain Nordic Club

Come Ride With Us

Welcome to the Strawberry Mountain Nordic Club. We are based in Grant County, Oregon, where the Strawberry Mountains (a subset of the Blue Mountains) dominate the landscape. Strawberry Mountain, the gem of the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness, climbs to an elevation of 9.039 feet.
The Strawberry Mountain Wilderness was established in 1964 and is managed by the Malheur National Forest. It includes 68,700 acres of varied terrain, vegetation, and wildlife. If it is a good snow year, the Strawberry Wilderness and surrounding areas provide some of the best skiing in the state. The powder is dry, the crowds are low, and the beauty is unparalleled.
We’re lucky to have the Snowballers groom about 500 miles worth of trail in the area and we have multiple warming huts that make for a great basecamp. If you want to get to about 18 miles of groomed and track-set trails, Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort is only about two hours from John Day.
